Tuff Trailers

When it comes to Trucks, Cranes, Heavy Haulage & anything that’s cool in-between there is one name in our industry that seems to come to the spotlight quite often….Craig Membrey.

Craig has been a customer of Tuff Trailers for several years now. As a celebration to 60 years of making it happen CM approached Tuff to build something really really unique. After going through our design database he has spec’d up a Folding Gooseneck (Dolly Rated) that runs a well height of 600mm. This well is widening to 3.5m and is also extendable to handle a 40ft container.

The trailer being so long and very low meant its in need of some serious suspension. Craig optioned DL-S Hydraulic Suspension & Steerable technology to give him full time steering (Hydraulic over linkage) up to 40 degree’s forward and in reverse.

The trailer being a folding gooseneck can also function as hydraulic raise / lower to get the front of the vehicle over those cattle grids / railways etc and also lower to get it under tram bridges in Victoria.

The rear of the trailer is fixed width to keep the rear of the trailer narrow for maneuverability. Other features include a trough in the rear for excavators, a sliding table / wheel well to get steer tyres down to 400mm, Full radio controlled remote including steering override and finished off with mirror stainless lids and Membrey’s green / red paint scheme.
